The Science of Prompt Engineering
To fully harness the potential of generative AI, it is essential to learn how to write effective prompts. In this hands-on workshop, we provide an overview of key prompting strategies for the optimal use of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs). We cover not only basic techniques like few-shot prompting, but also more advanced methods such as chain-of-thought and chain-of-verification prompting, all based on the latest scientific insights.
During the practical part of the workshop, you will get hands-on experience with large language models, allowing you to master the relevant techniques. This will give you practical insight into how language models can learn new tasks, how you can improve their reasoning capabilities, and how to reduce their tendency to hallucinate.
This is an advanced half-day workshop. Participants are expected to have a basic grasp of generative AI: they should have experience using Large Language Models, know how these models are trained and what their strenghts and limitations are.
